Guest Lecture Series
Twice each semester, on feast days when classes are not in session (All Saints, November 1st; Immaculate Conception, December 8th; Our Lady, Seat of Wisdom, February 4th; The Annunciation, March 25th), WCC will welcome to the campus important guest speakers from different areas of academia, public life, and the Catholic world. Visiting speakers may also hold extracurricular seminars to which everyone is invited.
Formal dinners and dances
At Christmas and at Easter, WCC will organize a formal dinner followed by a dance. (Informal dances will also be held at other times during the year.) Students will be offered lessons in traditional dances such as the waltz, the polka, the Ländler, Jewish and other ethnic folk dances, American Ballroom, and square dancing.
Picnics
Weather and time permitting, we will hold a schoolwide picnic each semester in the Wind River area or some other beautiful area relatively near the campus.
Other activities
Other activities may include a Classic Film Series, poetry readings, and talent shows. Much depends upon student imagination and initiative!
Off-campus opportunities
The College will inform students about cultural offerings and upcoming events in the community and the area, including historical study trips, the Fremont County Orchestra, drama presentations at Central Wyoming College, the Wyoming State Winter Fair, the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson Hole and the Buffalo Bill Historical Center (with the Whitney Gallery of Western Art) in Cody, and the Carmelite monastery in Clark. Trips will occasionally be organized to visit such places.
