PRESIDENT’S INVITATION TO PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS
You are about to take the first step on the exciting mission of discovery and learning in the world of higher education. I would like to give you three important reasons why you should take that step with us at Wyoming Catholic College.
First, you will experience an immersion in the reality of nature, which will enliven your imagination and put you in contact with God’s “first book,” the great outdoors of mountains, streams and lakes, and sky and stars. Learning leadership skills, developing the virtues of stamina and courage, and searching out the depths of your character and strengths will truly prepare you not only for academic life at WCC, but for life in general.
Second, you will experience an academic program that will make you a person who is truly free to reach towards the farthest horizon of any worthy endeavor and to accomplish the best you can envision. By learning much of the breadth and depth of centuries of Western civilization’s wisdom, you will know where you are in the great human journey and how to achieve the next critical steps. Additionally, as a person who is able to think clearly and critically and to communicate skillfully, both orally and in writing, you will be ready and able upon graduation to pursue any career you might choose, whether it be work or further education in some special area such as law, medicine, or engineering.
And third, you will have the opportunity to experience a profound spiritual fulfillment that can come only from a close relationship with God. WCC’s Catholic character, its devotional and sacramental environment, and its opportunities for a life-changing experience with revealed Truth will set you on a path towards the divine encounter with Goodness, Truth, and Beauty in the Beatific Vision.
Begin your mission of discovery in the great adventure of life by living in a community where hearts, minds, and souls are formed to bring you fully alive, free and able to pursue your hopes and dreams to their highest reach; come to Wyoming Catholic College.
