The Admissions Committee carefully considers all of the items submitted for the application and reaches its decision based on an overall evaluation of the applicant’s background and abilities.
Application fee: There is no application fee.
Rolling Admissions: Applications are received and evaluated beginning September 1st of the year prior to the year of intended enrollment. WCC employs a rolling admissions policy, which means that qualified applicants will be accepted in the order in which their applications were received and completed. This being so, the sooner an application is submitted, the better are the chances of enrollment. The applicant will be notified immediately upon acceptance by the Admissions Committee.
Waiting List: Since we have a limited number of places for students, there are likely to be accepted applicants who desire to attend after the class has already been filled. Such applicants will be placed on a waiting list, with two privileges: if any space should happen to open up, the first student on the waiting list will be contacted and offered his or her place; moreover, a waitlisted student has first choice of a place in the
following year’s student body, without having to apply a second time. (The information that would need to be resubmitted is the NOLS Health Form, which must be dated one year or less from the date of departure, and, if the applicant had already applied for financial aid, completion of a questionnaire concerning changes in financial circumstances.)
Residency Requirement: Since learning takes place not only in the classroom but in many places on and off campus (including lessons learned through community life), WCC students are required to live in appointed residence halls. All residence halls are single-sex and there is no intervisitation. The College employs a full-time Director of Student Life as well as a prefect system.
Transfer Students: Wyoming Catholic College has a fully integrated curriculum in which each course builds upon previous courses and is cross-integrated with other courses taken in the same semester and year. Due to this fact, any student who wishes to attend the College will enter as a freshman, regardless of previous college experience. We strongly encourage students considering transferring to WCC to do so, and so also to keep the following in mind: We have courses that you are not likely to have taken at another college, such as our NOLS outdoor leadership course, our equestrian program, the Trivium (which is a four-year course in Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric), and our Latin immersion program. And even if you have taken courses similar to some of ours, you certainly will encounter that material in a new and exciting way here at WCC! We have several transfer students, and they welcomed the opportunity to review and deepen their understanding of such material.
Nondiscrimination Policy: Although WCC is a Catholic college, no one will be excluded on the basis of religion. The College will also not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national, or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship or financial aids programs, intramural athletics, or any other school-administered programs.
Visits to Campus: Interested parties—and, in a special way, prospective applicants—are encouraged to visit the campus while classes are in session, although visits during the summer are also welcomed. If at all possible, visits should be arranged at least two weeks in advance. To schedule a personal meeting, to obtain advice on hotel accommodations, or to discuss any other details, please call the Director of Admissions at the main telephone number or send an email to
