Catholic education is an outstanding apostolate of hope that provides a highly commendable opportunity for the enitre community to contribute generously to the financial needs of our institutions. Their long-term sustainability must be assured. No child should be denied his or her right to an education in faith which in turn nurtures the soul of a nation.
From the Address of Pope Benedict XVI to Catholic Educators, Washington, D.C., April 17, 2008
Wyoming Catholic College is a private, independent college which depends on the financial support of those who believe in its mission for today's youth. It is authorized by the Bishop of Cheyenne to call itself "Catholic"; the Bishop is the Chairman of the Board of Directors and appoints one-third of the Board as well. However, the Diocese of Cheyenne is not responsible for providing the financial support of the College. Those needs must be met by donations from the public.
As the College has begun to form itself, many generous individuals and businesses have come forward to support a fresh educational effort which is seen as critical for our modern society. These giving and magnanimous "friends" and those who will join them are essential founders of the College, enabling the vision of WCC to become a reality both in terms of the necessary physical structures as well as a superior faculty and administration.
President Fr. Robert Cook and Vice President of Development Herbert Mosher lead the effort to raise the funds for the annual operational expenses of the College as well as the capital campaign necessary to construct the campus itself.
Fr. Cook or Mr. Mosher may be contacted by mail, phone, or email as indicated below; either would be happy to discuss ways of giving which would work for those interested in supporting a College which is offering an outstanding education for its students in all the dimensions of the person: intellectual, spiritual, and physical.
WCC's mission is to be a four year, classical liberal arts college, rich in Catholic Christian spiritual formation. It has an innovative outdoor aspect which, by reconnecting students to the reality of nature, is designed to help them develop their imaginations and abilities to strive with commitment and responsibility to succeed in their academic quest.
Your donations may also be sent directly to the College at P.O. Box 750, Lander, WY 82520. WCC is a 501 (c) (3) organization, and all donations are tax deductible. (The College's EIN is 83-0434307, and its tax exempt status Determination Letter Number is 50623603.)
