Last year,
a contingent of our students became the first WCC participants to participate in the peaceful pro-life demonstrations that are held throughout the country on the anniversary of the Supreme Court's decision on Roe v. Wade. Groups traveled to both San Francisco and Cheyenne, WY, and were powerfully moved by what they saw there.
Reconizing the great importance of helping and encouraging our students to become a driving force for good in our society, Wyoming Catholic College has suspended all classes on Friday, January 22nd, so that as many students as possible can participate in the upcoming Walk for Life.
This year, in what we fully expect to become an annual event, an even stronger contingent of WCC's students will be making the long drive westward to the Bay Area once again, eager to "stand up and be counted" in support of Life. (And again, like last year, a sister group will travel eastward to Cheyenne, Wyoming's capitol, to participate in our iwn state's peaceful demonstration.)
Please keep our students and their travels in your prayers. (January 20, 2010)
